The Sunday after Easter marked the return of Sandy Mack’s signature event, Harpin’ Help at Bar A. After two years of cancellations due to the pandemic, Sandy had assembled eight electric and seven acoustic acts to perform between 12:30 and 9pm. The Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation, the Reformation Community Food Pantry of West Long Branch and the Keyport Ministerium Food Pantry shared in the food and monetary donations from the local music lovers who attended.

Reckless Steamy Nights Finally Resumes
On a frigid Saturday night, on the other side of New Jersey, a group of fellow JSJBF members set out to hear Paul Plumeri and his band perform at the historic Patriots Crossing Tavern on the banks of the Delaware river.
After an unfortunate two-month hiatus, the blues jam at the Colts Neck Inn was back in full force this month. 41 musicians, along with approximately the same number of blues fans and aficionados, packed the bar area for a night of some serious blues!
