Reflecting upon the legacy of the MS Delta blues and the integrally related rock ‘n roll heritage of the Jersey Shore, we created The Mississippi Delta Meets the Jersey Shore!

This is becoming a thing. On Wednesday, May 24th, the town of Matawan –in conjunction with the JSJBF– held their second annual “Blues & Cruise” night. And just like last year, the event was epic.
As part of our JSJBF “outreach programming,” we’re extending our reach to the Mississippi Delta! We’ve created a MS Delta/Jersey Shore partnership! We’ve all heard the famous Muddy Waters quote: “The blues had a baby and they named it rock and roll.” What better way to celebrate the offspring, the fantastic Jersey Shore rock ‘n’ roll sound, than to honor its roots!
