Nicholas D. Coppola

It is with heavy hearts that we share the sad news of the passing of our dear friend and former president of the Jersey Shore Jazz & Blues Foundation, Nicky Coppola. Nicky’s passion for music and his dedication to our organization were truly inspiring. His contributions to the foundation will be remembered and cherished for years to come.
Wall Township, NJ – Nicholas D. Coppola, 59, of the Four Seasons at Wall, passed away peacefully on Sunday September 29, 2024 surrounded by his family. Nicky was born on August 15, 1965 in Point Pleasant, NJ. He graduated from Point Pleasant Boro High School and was incredibly talented in design. He studied Landscape Architecture & Engineering at North Carolina State University and the University of Colorado. Nicky joined D. W. Smith Associates in 1990 as a landscape designer, land planner and draftsman and remained with the Firm for 20 years, becoming one of the principals. He moved on to focus on landscape design and construction oversight starting GreenWorks Landscape Services. Nicky retired in 2022, focusing on his musical endeavors with all who would listen. He cherished his time as a board member and past President of the Jersey Shore Jazz and Blues Foundation. You would see him regularly on stage playing his harmonica, and mentoring others through music. Nicky was predeceased by his father Nicholas. He is survived by his beloved son Nicholas V. Coppola II, mother Evangeline, brother Victor and his wife Melissa, niece Dahlia, and nephews Michael and Spencer. His giving personality, gentle nature and great sense of humor will be missed.

Family and friends are invited to attend a visitation on Thursday October 3, 2024, from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Orender Family Home for Funerals 2643 Old Bridge Road Manasquan, NJ 08736, with a prayer service at 7 pm.
