Celebrating Women in Music and Supporting Survivors
Last year JSJBF member Carlotta Schmidt and her mom created Fourth Wave Fest, a musicalfundraiser comprised of women-led bands to raise money and awareness for 180 Turning Lives Around, a 501 (c)3 that helps survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault at the Asbury Lanes.
A group of us attended and were very impressed, and knowing Carlotta, not surprised that it was a well run, successful event.
This year, she has reached out to let me know they will be doing it again on March 8th at The House of Independents with another great lineup of local women-led bands.
Please come out and support this very worthwhile cause and listen to some great music.
