For forty years Tom Brennan and Gary Neuwirth have been making music featuring rootsy guitar and sparkling harmonica playing. Reunited with old bandmate Elaine Orzechowski and joined by bassist Jim Henry as well as guitarist/vocalist Jon Falk, they provide a whole new vibe. You owe it to yourself to check it out.
The tunes, both old and new, feature smooth harmonies and great grooves. The tunes are more personal, more original. Taking their love of bluesy style roots music, they work in elements of country, rock and funk. TBnDBS is on a musical journey to find the music that you love to hear and they love to play! You'll be surprised at some of their discoveries. Whether it's blues, Americana, or a new take on classic rock, first and foremost, they want their music to bring joy. "We are performing musicians who basically took time off to raise our families," says Tom Brennan. "I played three-four nights a week years ago but stopped when my kids were babies. Now, they've grown. So have I. It feels like the music has something new in it that wasn't there before and we just want to share that with people."
Tom & Gary's previous band, Shore Blue, recorded their first record of original work, "Bald Man Boogaloo" in 2015. (CD's are still available at performances, as well as CDBaby.com, iTunes Store and streaming on Spotify.) TB & the Deep Blue Sea continue to play tunes from the record as well as introduce new original songs at their gigs. They looking to future recordings.
