Benefit Concert & Film Interview/Auditions.

Meet the Musicians Project Folks
January 30th at the Wonderbar

The Musicians Project is creating a series of documentary films about musicians and their access to affordable health care. This is a not for profit venture, and we are a group of film makers, musicians and social activists from NJ and California. We are looking for musicians in NJ to participate in this interview process.

We are focusing on musicians because they are a part of the population that has a great deal to contribute (their music), but their work does not often fill their pockets, and many musicians, both insured and uninsured, die preventable deaths every year. We are not political or religious!!! The focus of the project is that life is valuable, no matter how much money you have in the bank. Please check us out at www.musiciansproject.com, or Musicians Project on facebook. Please contact us either by phone or email, if you or your fellow musicians would participate. Thanks!

We begin interviews this friday, and are attending a benefit concert for a band mate of a group called One Eyed Jack, who's wife recently died of cancer. Hegarty, the band mate, owns his own company, and stopped working to care for his wife, whose  illness was very advanced when she was diagnosed. He has two small children, and no income since August 2009.

The benefit is Jan. 30 at the Wonder Bar in Asbury park: we will be there to hand out info.
