JSJBF Monthly Membership Meetings

All JSJBF Members and prospective members are welcome!

If you want JSJBF to know WHO YOU ARE and that you're looking for work, this is the best way you can make your availability and skills known. You also can network with other artists and potentially venue owners that can help you out. This is one of the single most important things you can do to market your group (and you can have a great night out)!

Meetings are scheduled for the third Wednesday of the month....
See you there.

This month's music will be by: The Jody Joseph Band

Thanks to Scant Chance for a tremendous time last month!

The Jody Joseph Band (formerly Jody Joseph and the Average Joes) is comprised of award-winning, singer/songwriter, Jody Joseph, winner of the "Living Legend 2009" award at the 2009 Asbury Music Awards. Her original songs are bluesy ballads, cranked-up, soulful rockers, and spiritual songs with an attitude, with devilishly clever lyrics and wide-open heart and soul. Joseph had the pleasure of performing her fabulous renditions of Janis Joplin songs with Janis' original band, Big Brother and the Holding Company, on their Northeast tour, in May 2006.

She's been called upon to sing Janis Joplin songs so often by fans that she has taken it a bit further. Joseph has recently produced and performed a theatrical presentation honoring Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks entitled "One Diva...One Legend...One Woman", in May 2009 at The Paramount Theater in Asbury Park and most recently in January 2010 at the Gramercy Theater in NYC. The show has received wide acclaim from legendary promoter, Sid Bernstein; John D'Esposito, Vice President Talent-Live Nation; and John Pfeiffer from the Aquarian, to name a few.

Other members of The Jody Joseph Band are Jon "Huey" Tatlow, Musical Director and Bass Jon "Rockin'" Rotman, Drums B Jay (Beedge) Willis, Lead guitar Billy Siegel, keyboards Jody Joseph and her band plays many benefits and charity-related shows in Monmouth County, often highlighting her talented vocal students, who have been giving back to the community for years. The 2009 Christmas concert at The Stone Pony assisted Wag On Inn Animal Rescue.
